The championship week is set for October 5\u201310, 2025."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eufaula, AL \u2013 American Bass Anglers is excited to announce that the 2025 American Fishing Tour National Championship will be held on the legendary Lake Walter F. George, widely known as Lake Eufaula, with tournament headquarters in Eufaula, Alabama. The championship week is set for October 5\u201310, 2025. It will bring together the top 500 qualifying anglers from across the nation to compete in one of the most prestigious events in grassroots bass fishing.<\/p>\n<p>Often referred to as the \u201cBass Fishing Capital of the World,\u201d Lake Eufaula offers an ideal setting for this premier national championship. In partnership with the Eufaula\/Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, American Bass Anglers will deliver a week-long celebration of competitive fishing, community engagement, and southern hospitality in one of the Southeast\u2019s most iconic fishing destinations.<\/p>\n<p>The event will kick off with official practice days beginning October 5, leading into the Directors Dinner on Monday, October 6, and the official registration and safety briefing with a welcome dinner on Tuesday, October 7. Three full days of tournament fishing will follow, with daily weigh-ins open to the public and culminating in a championship awards banquet on Friday evening, October 10.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLake Eufaula has been a historic stop for tournament bass fishing for decades,\u201d said Morris Sheehan, President of American Bass Anglers. \u201cIt\u2019s a natural fit for our national championship. The fishing is world-class, the facilities are outstanding, and the support from the local community has been tremendous. We\u2019re looking forward to bringing our anglers back to such a legendary venue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The championship will be operated out of a launch facility large enough to accommodate the 250-boat field, with security and event staff on hand throughout the week. ABA will promote the event and the host community through national advertising campaigns, social media, ABA Magazine, and dedicated tournament coverage across its digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to high-level competition, anglers and their families will experience the charm of historic downtown Eufaula, explore the scenic waters of the Chattahoochee River, and enjoy the area\u2019s rich heritage, dining, and outdoor attractions.
